Jo Hislop is a visual artist and producer working across photography, film and writing.
Her work explores the nuances and intricacies of sensorial and bodily experience. Originally from the North of England, Jo lives and works between the UK and Finland, where she recently received a Masters from Aalto School of Arts, Design and Architecture. Jo has experience working as a lead artist, project manager, facilitator and film producer. Working on a range of arts projects that have focused on collaboration with communities, artists and cultural organisations such as Amber Film and Photography Collective and Tyneside Cinema. Jo produced four short films with BBC New Creatives in 2019 and co-produced one feature length documentary; The Dream Palace (Dir. Alex Ayre) 2018.
